Help Rotary to help your community. Rotary Cambridge has published a popular cookbook —Taste Waikato — featuring simple but innovative recipes — all stylishly photographed — showcasing the food of the region.

Also featured are light hearted stories of local food producers. All money from sales goes to helping people in our local community.

Taste Waikato is a great present and an extremely useful cookbook for friends either here or overseas. The book offers easy, innovative recipes created and photographed by food professional Jan Bilton.

Rotary Cambridge members helped by contacting producers, catching a trout or two and assisting in taste testing and proof-reading. The recipes — developed by rotary member and food professional, Jan Bilton — feature beef, lamb, chicken, bacon, duck and salami; fish and seafood; cheeses and dairy delights; fruit; vegetables; truffles; nuts; honey; olive oil; tea; unique preserves; and wines and beers. These temptations are complemented by interesting, entertaining stories and anecdotes about the produce and producers.

The book was produced by Irvine Holt, a publishing company owned by Jan and her husband, journalist Michael Ryan.
