Rotary Cambridge Adventure Club organises outdoor based adventures on average every 6 weeks for members, families and friends.  Adventures are carefully structured to
suit a wide range of ages and abilities and tend to be walking, tramping or cycling focused.  Our youngest participant to date was 8 years of age and our eldest a very sprightly 85.  Both participated in cycling the Piropiro to Ongarure leg of the Pureora Timber Trail.  A mountain bike ride of 45km involving swing bridges, tunnels and stunning scenery.

Recently we had groups walking the magical Waiorongomai Valley and another cycling part of the Hauraki Cycle Trail to the site of the memorial erected to the 1963 NAC air crash into the  Kaimai Ranges.  The day concluded with soaks in the Te Aroha mineral pools and dinner out.  Great fun and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
We have also been cycling in the Rotorua Mountain Bike park,  cycling in the Karangahake Gorge and in early October we had a hardy group cycling the Central Otago Rail Trail.

Upcoming adventures include: In late February 2022 a group will attack the Tongariro Crossing and our latest adventure, still in the planning stages will involve canoeing the Whanganui River

All adventures are listed in “Upcoming Events” on our Club website and registrations from all are welcome.
