Presidents Bulletin Notes 25th June 2022
This Week
What can I say, a very successful quiz night hosted by our vocational team. Congratulations to our top three teams…. The Famous Five (Nigel S, Carey, Don W, Alan VN, David P) - score 22, Team Codgers – score 21 and Team The Beast – score 21. Commiserations to our lowest scoring team Lord Windle of Weymouth – score 11, captained by none other than President Ian himself!
This my last bulletin for the Rotary 2021/22 year, and I must say it has been a privilege to represent our club as your president over the last 12 months. Yes, it’s been a challenging year, but we made it through this together, stronger and will continue to grow and prosper as we “Imagine Rotary into our 2022/23 year.
Again, thank you all for everything that you have done, everything that you continue to do and most of all for continuing to ‘Serve to Change Lives’.
Next Week
Our much-awaited 75thanniversary celebrations at the Don Rowlands Centre Lake Karapiro, followed directly by our changeover evening. Arrival from 5.30pm onwards as per your invite. We have a few surprises in store during the evening so don’t miss out and enjoy the event.
Rotary Foundation
Please consider giving to the Rotary Foundation in this time of need. I realize we are personally unable to solve the world’s problems, but I do know our desire to help is strong. By giving to the Rotary Foundation and encouraging others working toward the same goals, we will know that all funding generated, is directed to those who need it most.
Look forward to seeing you all next week.
President Ian and Liz
