Things are ramping up as we prepare for the big Bookarama sale. Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who has worked hard to collect and sort books; we have a really good quality colllection this year.
The project team is meeting on Thursday 20 April at 5pm at CHS to work through the finer details and anyone who has expressed an interest in supporting this event in some way is encouraged to attend. This is definitely not limited to but includes:
Ray Milner, Dennis Finn, Laurie Graham, Lyndsay Mason, Nigel Salter, David Partis, Gordon Calder, Ken Leatham, Sue Bullick, Anne Blewden, Colin Davis, Deb Robinson, John Windle, Linda Tarbutt, Bev Heron, Richard Seabrook and Jeremy Irwin.
If your name isn't on the above list, you're welcome to attend as there's much to do and your help would be really appreciated. Alternatively, give Dennis a ring on 027 281 4113.
We're still looking for roster volunteers so if you're able to help out for either full or part days, please let Dennis (
[email protected]) or Anne Blewden (
[email protected]) know.
Sorting continues this week Wednesday 9.00 am to 11.00 am at Achievement House.
Finally, last week Ray Milner approached BTG Electrical regarding storing the surplus books after the sale, and we're pleased to say that they have kindly agreed to provide the Club with some storage space. This is really helpful and we're grateful to BTG Electrical for their support.
We wish Ray and Sue happy travels and acknowledge with thanks Ray's management of the project up to now.
