Social (Off-site)

Note from the President
This week our guest speaker is David Henwood. I am aware that some of our
members have recently purchased and read his book on the Dark Side. This
would be a good meeting to bring your partner or a guest to hear David's
story on introducing Criminal Profiling to New Zealand.

We have now sold in excess of 500 tickets to the Garden Festival - the
target is 1200 so we are just about half way. If you are able to help on the
day (10 November) please register with Nigel Salter.

See you all on Thursday night.

Take care

Gary Smith

Bruised Brothers entertain at The Oaks Retirement Village

Last week, the Bruised Brothers had a 2 hour gig at The Oaks, and were royally looked after.  We were invited to be first up to their buffet dinner and were kept well lubricated with beverages of our choice.  They wanted to be sure we were well fed and watered and could kick off the dancing straight after the meal.

A good time was had by all (including the BB's) and they were wanting to book us for their Xmas function as well - a sure sign they were happy with our music.
