I thought it might be useful to provide an update on the Cambridge Rotary Club Garden Festival.
The event will be held on Sunday the 10th of November 2024. There will be 11 gardens to view and we hope to sell in excess of 1200 tickets.
This year Cambridge Raceway will act as our “hub” where those attending will be able to pick up their pre ordered lunch, have a drink, a rest or both.
Planning is well underway. The Festival will be a launched at the Amber Garden Centre on Thursday the 25th of July. The garden owners have been invited for morning tea and a back room tour of Amber. This event will also be used to promote the event in the Cambridge News on Facebook and the Garden Festival Website.
Tickets will go on sale on the 2
nd of August and can be purchased through the Garden Festival Website, at Amber Garden Centre or at the I-Site.
The next major phase will involve the logistical planning for delivery of the event. This will include safety assessments for each garden, equipment required and establishing how many persons will be needed at each garden on the day.
There is a core group of three leading this project – Bev Maul-Rogers, Phil Shakesby and myself.
I will keep you informed as we make our way towards the 10th of November. We would be really grateful if you were able to help out on the day so please save the date. We estimate we are going to need between 60 and 70 persons to deliver the festival on the 10th.
Have a good week and see you next Thursday evening
