Books certainly haven't replaced E-readers if Rotary Cambridge's Bookarama is any indication.

This year's Rotary Cambridge's Bookarama was held at the Cambridge Town Hall 10 – 14 May 2017, and there was huge interest with many buyers turning up on day 1.  Throughout the year, books have poured in to Achievement House for sorting and the selection this year was the best ever.
As well as changing the time of year, this year Rotary Cambridge have also involved Achievement House, a facility which provides sheltered work, training and job placement for disabled people in the Cambridge district.  They kindly agreed to act as a drop-off point for donated books, and will even go to homes to pick up books on our behalf. They also provided space for our members to sort and store books.

A dedicated team of Rotarians and partners sorted the received books and stacked them ready for the big week.  They enjoyed working with friends for a good cause, and there is the added perk of being able to borrow any interesting books for a read prior to the sale.  Some of the volunteers have been involved in Bookarama for many years.

All proceeds are distributed each year back into the community, with a significant portion this year going to Achievement House. Once finalised, the details for next year's sale will be advised.
